Over the Labor Day weekend, we made a trip up north to see Mackinac Island, and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. We made the trip to Mackinac Island during the Labor Day weekend. It was our first time at the Island, and we loved it. Getting there – we boarded a ferry, and took our bicycles with us. Stopped by the Castle Rock on the way back from Soo Locks. To get to the top of Castle Rock be ready to climb 171 steps, and it is a STEEP climb. Trust me by the time you will get there, you will be out of breath. The view from the top is amazing. Entry fee is $1 but free if you have the Michigan Recreation Pass. We went to Soo Locks during the Labor Day weekend. Soo Locks are a set of parallel locks in upper peninsula that enable ships to travel between Lake Superior and the lower Great Lakes (Wiki). It was fun to watch large freighters pass through the locks on their journey to/from Lake Superior. This was our first time at Soo Locks, and first time in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Before Our dresser as shown above in the photos went through a major makeover. This was always the plan, when we bought this used dresser off Craigslist.
